Bio
Tom Larisch, originally hailing from North Vancouver and beginning his journey at Lions Gate Hospital, is a passionate educator and coach deeply rooted in his community. Graduating from Balmoral Jr Secondary and later Carson Graham Secondary, Tom’s athletic prowess shone through as he excelled in soccer, rugby, and wrestling during his high school years. Choosing to pursue his higher education at the University of Victoria, Tom’s dedication to rugby led him to transition from BC soccer to rugby full-time. With an impressive sporting career spanning numerous teams and championships, including BC U18 rugby and stints with Capilano RFC and BC Bears, Tom’s commitment to the game is unwavering.
Currently serving as a Physical Education teacher and senior rugby coach at Collingwood School, Tom fosters a culture of continuous improvement both personally and within his teams. His aspirations extend beyond mere victories, aiming to instill valuable life lessons through sport. Outside of his professional endeavors, Tom finds joy in supporting his stepchildren Brayden and Marea as they pursue their own athletic endeavors, embodying his belief in the transformative power of sportsmanship and teamwork.
